Privacy Policy
Last updated July 30, 2026
Drip Drop is a marketplace where prices fall until items sell. This policy explains what information we collect when you browse, buy or sell, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is maintained by the Drip Drop team and is not a certification or an independent audit.
Who we are
Drip Drop (“we”, “us”) operates the marketplace at dealdrops.sale. We act as the platform; independent sellers list and fulfil the products you buy. For questions about this policy, email privacy@dealdrops.sale or use our contact form.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and, if you create one, your profile name. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
- Order information — the items you buy, order totals, shipping address, and delivery status.
- Payment information — payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation and limited details (such as the last four digits of a card and the billing country); we never store full card numbers.
- Price alerts, saved carts and limit orders — the target prices and items you ask us to watch. Limit-order target prices are kept hidden from other buyers and from sellers.
- Seller information — for seller applications: business name, contact details, product categories, shipping regions, payout details held by our payment provider, and any marketplace accounts you connect (for example an eBay store).
- Technical information — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and similar log data used to keep the site secure and working.
- Communications — messages you send us through the contact form or email.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and to sign you in.
- To process orders, arrange delivery, calculate shipping and apply free shipping over $35.
- To run price drops, limit orders and price alerts, and to notify you when a price you asked about is reached.
- To review and approve sellers, calculate marketplace fees, and pay sellers their share.
- To provide customer support, handle returns and resolve disputes.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and other misuse of the marketplace.
- To send service emails (order updates, price alerts, account notices) and — only if you opt in — marketing emails.
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with the service providers who make the marketplace work:
- Sellers — the shipping details needed to fulfil your order.
- Payment processing — to charge you, split marketplace fees and pay sellers.
- Hosting, database and email delivery providers — to run the site and send transactional email.
- Connected marketplaces (such as eBay) — when a seller links a store, listing and price data is synchronised between platforms.
- Legal and safety — where required by law, or to protect our rights, users and platform.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar local storage that are necessary for the site to work: keeping you signed in, remembering your cart, and applying first-time buyer offers. If we add analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we will update this policy and provide a way to manage them. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but parts of the site (sign-in, cart) will stop working.
Email preferences
Transactional emails — order confirmations, shipping updates, price-alert hits and account notices — are part of the service. Marketing emails always include an unsubscribe link, and you can manage your preferences on our email preferences page.
Data retention
We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, tax, accounting and dispute-handling purposes. Price alerts, saved carts and limit orders are deleted when you remove them or close your account. Support messages are kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Your rights and choices
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate details, or update them yourself in your account.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your account and associated data, subject to records we must keep by law.
- Marketing opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing email at any time.
- Objection or restriction — ask us to stop or limit certain processing where the law gives you that right.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@dealdrops.sale from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Access to the marketplace database is restricted by row-level security rules, so buyers see only their own orders, alerts and limit orders, and sellers see only their own listings and payouts. Traffic to the site is encrypted in transit, and payment card data is handled entirely by our payment provider. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe you've found a vulnerability, email security@dealdrops.sale and we will investigate.
Children
Drip Drop is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the marketplace evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email, and the “last updated” date above will change.
